Night circus is about a boy and a girl that are pitted against each other from a very young age. But they didn't meet each other until their early twenties (I think). From the moment they met they hated each other. But, that hatred changes into love and happiness, that will become the Night Circus.

THE NIGHT CIRCUS is a marvelous tale! The Night Circus is a circus that appears out of nowhere. One day it was an empty field the next a beautiful field full of black and white tents holding astonishing talent. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity because you don’t know when or if it will be there ever again. Once you go to this magical circus, forgetting about it is something that cannot be easily done. However, this circus isn’t any normal circus. It is truly full of magic, but it’s also the main ground for a dangerous game. A game, Celia and Marco were placed in at a very young age. Ever since they were chosen; they were both trained every single day until the time came for them to play. Neither of them knew at the time that they would be facing each other, and that the game could only result in one winner. That task becomes nearly impossible when Marco and Celia fall in love. It’s because of this that Celia and Marco find out things that they never could have guessed or that because of their love the circus nearly falls to pieces.

Really liked this book, and people can tell you that the first thing I do after reading a book is rip the author to shreds by pointing out every plothole, spelling and grammatical error, and any facts that are wrong in the story. This one had no spelling or grammatic errors, few plotholes that really matter, and the only thing wrong was that the dialogue wasn't exact for the time period, but she didn't mess up and use sayings and phrases that didn't exist at the time. The story itself went back and forth between various points in time, but the author didn't get the events mixed up like so often happens. There was a great idea to the story that she could have stretched out a little better, but is adequate in all. The two main characters are in a contest to display their magical arts in a circus. They just have to keep from spontaneously combusting from exertion before the other on does to win. They pull off the loophole in the contract, but to keep the circus going they put some random kid in charge, just because one of the younger performers likes him. Not exactly my choice, but hey, what do I know about magical circuses? Anyway, nice book, fair amount of explosions, but only two people die, so not an action novel. More of a fantasy.
