Every Day by David Levithan

This was a really cool book. I like the idea of being a different person everyday. I'm not much into the romance portion of most books, because if you know me, I prefer a good deal of explosions and fair amount of action. It is good how it shows how we can't choose who we are, for instance, A spends a day as Kelsea, a girl who is seriously depressed and was about to commit suicide, and has all of the various ways of doing so in a notebook. I also enjoy how there is a fair understanding for the various sexual orientations. On a side note, I'm pretty sure there is a Supernatural episode like this.

EVERY DAY is not your average book. "A" has struggled with facing a new body every day since he was born. He never knew who his parents were or the family he could’ve had or even who he really is. Living life was a constant battle. That was until he met Rhiannon through the body of Justin. It’s only because of "A" that he himself along with Rhiannon began to question everything around them. "A" knew he should have never inferred in their lives but he had to. Rhiannon was that once exception. That day at the beach changed both their lives and the lives of others around them. It gave "A" hope. With every new body, "A" somehow finds his way back to Rhiannon. This was until one night "A" ran out of time and was forced to leave a body at the side of the highway an hour away from his home without erasing his memory. That was one mistake that would not only change his life but change Nathan’s life forever. This is hard on everybody. However "A" is determined to find a way to make things work and when that way comes into his hands, "A" is forced to make a choice. A choice, that will make a remarkable difference in his life.

Everyday was an enjoyable read. I love the concept of jumping bodies; it is very creative. Of course I was a sucker for "A" falling in love with Rhiannon. I guess I hoped it would work out and have a happy ending like every other story. I think my favorite character in the book is the kid that was born as a girl and got changed to a guy's girlfriend. I think more people should be like her, in that she is understanding and accepting to almost any situation she seems to have a very beautiful personality. I love the lesson this book teaches. It shows you what its like to analyze and see the world from the outside.
