This book is my absolute favotrite book. I read it in less than a day, because i simply couldn't put it down. My favorite part of the book is when Isaac, Hazel, and Gus go to egg Monica's house to make Isaac feel better. The comedy in this moment in the book gives it a lighter feeling despite the serious topics in the book. I love the innocence and youth between the three friends even though they've been forced to grow up very quickly.

This is one of my new favorite books! It was so good; I loved how Gus used his wish so they can go to Amsterdam together to meet the author of her favorite book. I thought it was so bogus when Issac's girlfriend ditched him after he had the surgery but loved how Gus was there trying to make him feel better and they egged her car.

I loved this book so much. It was extremely funny even though the situation that they were in was so sad and serious. I will never consider eggs a breakfast food again, it's insulting. The ending was very fitting and I was glad it wasn't cliché. Augustus and Hazel were both very intelligent and funny and I experience a lot of different emotions while reading this. It's a really great book and I've been recommending it to all of my friends!

This book, I cannot begin to explain annoyed I was by it, nor how not-seriously I took it. The only thing that i liked about it was that it had some pretty diverse vocabulary in it. The only scene I really liked was when VanHouten crushes their dreams. That part I found hilarious. Yeah, sure it was funny when they tried to lick the moist cave wall, but there wasn't anything good or well thought out in that scene. Also, when the handy-capable gang egged Monica's car, I would call the cops on them either way. I am a fan of the philosophy in the book though, such as the turtle race. I have heard through the grapevine that this book may win the contest, and while I definitely don't want this to happen, I see how it could. Before other people see this and rant about how I've got no taste, don't like "good" books, etc., I must state that this is my opinion. I see that others do like this book, and I am fine with that. I just don't share the same feelings.

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS is a rollercoaster of emotions. Hazel's life took a drastic turn when she was 13. Her life changed and she was no longer a normal teenager. Her life now is a constant battle as she fights cancer. Every day is a struggle, just trying to force her lungs to work is a struggle and that’s why she always carries around an oxygen tank. Hazel’s parents always thought she was depressed and sad because she rarely gets out. This however changes when she meets Augustus Waters at a Cancer Support Group Meeting. Their story together completely changes everybody’s life. They go on an adventure together to meet an author that doesn’t turn out like they thought. To both of them it was extremely disappointing but yet wonderful at the same time. The trip is also were Hazel finds out an awful truth about Augustus. Their relationship grows stronger and they develop friendships along the way. Facing death is never easy so when the time finally comes Hazel begins to fall apart. As she falls apart her family is their right beside her through everything and their bond becomes stronger.
