Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

In the year 2044, Wade Watts, like the rest of humanity, chooses to escape reality and spends his waking hours in the limitless, utopian virtual world of the OASIS, but when Wade stumbles upon the first of the fiendish puzzles set up by OASIS creator James Halliday, he finds he must compete with thousands of others -- including those willing to commit murder -- in order to claim a prize of massive fortune.

A fair amount of profanity, colloquialisms, and L337, a really good book though. I only caught half the references made in here because of my dad. Also Monty Python's the Holy Grail is like my favorite movie ever. Pretty cool how he uses my name as an alias also.

This is the best book I ever read. For a book the set 31 Years in the future there is a lot of 80s references. The sad part of the whole thing, is that the world totally blows. The only thing to live for is just a video game that everyone has. Then there is Wade, in a world that is complete junk, Wade's life is one of the worst things that I heard about. So when a Billionaire dies and throws his money in the air, up for grabs for everyone to have, it is in the video game that everyone has. Who wouldn't take the chance to get the all that money. But it's harder than it really looks. Ready Player One is a real page turner and should be read by everyone(expect for children under 13, there is some bad language in this book).

Ready player one is about this guy named Wade. Most of his life he spent in this virtual world known as Oasis. Oasis brings people to this virtual reality, away from the real world, and all of the problems it contains. Every single aspect of Wade’s life is on Oasis. Wade devoted his entire life to this videogame for a couple of reasons. One of the reasons being a competition that is among the entire Oasis users. The competition contains puzzles that takes years to figure out. These puzzles however, are based on the creator’s obsessions with pop culture of the 80’s. Whoever can figure out the puzzles is promised with millions of dollars, and massive power within the Oasis. When Wade finds the first clue, he realizes that this game is going to get dangerous. Wade, along with his friends Art3mis, Aech, and a few others, must come together to find the prize. However, they soon find their lives at risk. The IOI will stop at nothing to get the prize; this includes taking other people's lives. However, when his friends come together they realize that it doesn’t take one person to win. It takes the power of three.
